Over time, FERNMIN has had to design and develop certain parts or products to keep Mini's or other old English Cars on the Road. Many of the products are simply improved quality, safety and reliability over the original, most are available at a better price than new imported parts |

- Electronic 6v to 12v Converter: A unique under-dash device that steps up 6v DC to 12v DC, allowing modern 12v DC devices such as a Car Radio to be run from the 6v supply usually found in older Cars.
Care must be taken when installing the converter to ensure it is supplied power via the Ignition switch or a dedicated on/off switch, or a flat Battery will result. Works with most negative Earth car's though in some cases an ungrounded 12v device may be required.
Supplied with protection fuses on the input and output lines. May induce noise in certain audio equipment. Maximum constant output is 1 Amp or 12 watts, adequate for most basic Radios. |

- Precision, solid state instrument Voltage Stabiliser: Replaces the bi-metallic strip stabaliser utelised in most old English Cars with 12v Smiths Gauges.
Short proof. Does not cause Radio interference. Available for Positive or Negative earth Cars. Please specify on ordering or Negative earth will be supplied as standard.
Comes with basic mounting hardware and wire colour for wire colour installation instructions. May easily be installed in a more convenient location than the original unit for ease of installation and future testing. Option available with miniature regulated output LED indicator. |

- Electric Cooling Fan Automatic Thermostat: Most add-on Electric Cooling Fan installations we have seen either are wired for permanently on or controlled by switch on the Dash. These fans are recommended in the South African temperate climate and town driving.
Install our easy to install automatic thermostat, set the preferred operating temperature and forget about overheating problems.
All electronics installed in a weatherproof enclosure which can be mounted in the engine compartment or under the Dash. Simple to install sensor sits in the fins of the Radiator, no permanent fixing or modification required.
Includes in-line fuse to protect the Thermostat and Fan and remote "fan on" LED indicator for the Driver. Can safely be wired to either a permanent 12v supply or via the Ignition. Currently, negative earth only. Fan must be the insulated type with ungrounded frame.
-Alternate Uses: Wired with a Relay in place of the Fan, the unit can be used as a high engine temperature safety cutout.
Where the Fan or Relay is not connected, the unit acts as a cost effective engine high temperature warning light. |
